Remove the gutter.

Disconnect the six pins securing the protective apron and remove the apron (Fig. 8.68).
Disconnect the windshield wiper linkage power connector.

Unscrew the four bolts securing the windshield wiper link and remove the link (Fig. 8.69).

Inspect the condition of the windshield wiper arms. If rust is found at the joints of the arms, clean the contact surfaces with a metal brush (Fig. 8.70).
Lubricate the contact surfaces of the levers with grease and install them in place.
Install the windshield wiper rod and arms in the reverse order of removal.
After installation, check that the windshield wipers are working properly.
Tighten the control arm mounting nuts by hand and turn on the windshield wipers.

The diagram of the correct operation of the windshield wipers is shown in Figure 8.71.
After adjusting the position of the levers, finally tighten the mounting nuts with a wrench.
Tightening torque: 20.1 Nm.
