Pic. 2.51. Removing old sealant
After removing the mounting bolts and nuts, use a suitable tool to remove the sealant (pic. 2.51).
Attention! Be careful not to damage the surface of the part.
Remove sealant as thoroughly as possible from surfaces, recesses and mounting bolt holes using a suitable tool such as a scraper. If necessary, heat the surface slightly and remove dried sealant particles with a piece of cloth soaked in gasoline.

When completed, apply new sealant (pic. 2.52).
Try to use branded sealant or equivalent.
After applying the new sealant, wait 5 minutes and install the mating part. Remove excess sealant with a cloth.
Tighten the mounting bolts.
