Removal the rear window



1. Remove the rear seat cushion and backrest.

2. Remove the side backrests of the rear seat.

3. Remove the rear pillar trim.



Rear pillar trim.
A - doors with frame,
B - doors without frame.


4. Remove the additional brake light.

5. Remove the rear shelf.

Disconnect the pins and remove the rear shelf.



6. Pull out the seat belt as shown in the figure.



7. Remove the wiper arms.



8. Unscrew the three bolts securing the rear window wiper motor and remove it.



9. Remove the nozzle and the hose supplying liquid to the nozzle by unscrewing the nut as shown in the figure.



10. Cut the molding along the path shown in the figure.



11. Remove the rear window.

a) Pull the string out from the passenger compartment.



b) Secure the ends of the string to wooden blocks.



Note: Please stick adhesive tape on the outer surface of the rear glass to avoid scratching the surface.


Caution: When removing glass, be careful not to damage painted surfaces and trim.


c) Use a string to cut off the layer of glue.

d) Remove the rear window.

Caution: When cutting, leave as much glue on the body as possible.


Installing the rear window



Note: The process of installing the rear window is identical to installing the windshield. The sequence of operations and the main differences are given below (a more detailed description of the operations is given in the subsection "Windshield installation").


1. Level the remaining adhesive layer on the body and clean the contact surface of the body.

2. Clean the glass.

3. Install the glass and apply alignment marks on the glass and body, then remove the glass.



4. Install the stopper as shown in the figure.





5. Install the rear window molding.



6. Clean the glass contact surface.

Caution: Do not touch the cleaned glass surface.


7. Coat the glass contact surface with primer as shown in the figure.



8. Using a syringe, apply glue to the contact surfaces of the glass along the ledge as shown in the figure.



9. Install the glass.



10. Check and eliminate leaks in the connection.

5 - upper trim of the rear pillar,
6 - rear window,
7 - rear shelf,
8 - rear seat cushion,
9 - back of the rear seat,
10 - windshield wiper arm,
11 - windshield wiper motor,
12 - washer nozzle,
13 - side of the back of the rear seat.

2 - drainage gutter,
3 - hatch,
4 - hatch guide,
5 - side frames of the drive cable guide,
6 - front frame of the drive cable guide,
7 - drive cable,
8 - curtain.


11. Install the following items:

a) The nozzle and the hose supplying liquid to the nozzle.

b) Rear window wiper motor.

c) Windscreen wiper arms.

d) Rear shelf.



d) Additional brake light.

e) Finishing of the rear pillar.

g) Lateral backrests of the rear seat.

c) The cushion and back of the rear seat.
