Removal
Steering gear fastening elements
1 – cotter pin; 2 – right front wing protection; 3 – anti-roll bar; 4 – left front wing protection; 5 – cotter pin
1. Set the front wheels to drive straight ahead. Raise the front of the vehicle and secure it on stands. Remove the wheels. Remove the engine splash shield.

2. Place a suitable container under the steering gear and disconnect the supply and return pipes from the steering gear and close them with plugs.

3. Mark the relative positions of the lower universal joint and the steering input shaft. Unscrew the lower intermediate shaft clamp bolt.
4. Remove the tie rod end ball joints from the steering knuckles.
5. Unscrew the bolts securing the anti-roll bar bushings.
6. Unscrew the steering gear mounting nuts, lift the anti-roll bar and remove the steering gear mounting bolts.
7. Remove the intermediate shaft from the steering gear input shaft and remove the steering gear from the right side of the vehicle.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Add fluid to the power steering system. Remove air from the power steering system.
