Removal
1. On sedan models, remove the rear seat and side trim. On wagon models, remove the rear seatback and side trim.
2. Raise the rear of the car and secure it on stands. Remove the rear wheels.

3. On station wagon models, disconnect the pressure limiter spring (LSPV) from the lower lever.
4. Remove the brake hose from the rear strut bracket.
5. Unscrew the stabilizer link from the rear strut.
6. Support the rear hub mounting element with a jack.

7. Loosen the two nuts securing the rear strut to the hub mounting element.

8. Unscrew the three nuts securing the upper rear pillar to the body.
9. Use a jack to lower the hub mounting element and finally unscrew the two nuts and remove the two bolts securing the lower part of the rear strut to the hub mounting element.
10. Remove the rear suspension strut from under the vehicle.
11. Checking the condition and disassembling the rear suspension strut is done in the same way as the front suspension struts.

12. Install the upper support of the rear pillar in accordance with the drawing.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
