Heater Fan — Removal and Installation [Toyota Camry XV10]

1. Remove the ground cable from the battery.

2. The fan is located on the right side under the instrument panel.



3. Remove the glove box, glove box cover and lower trim panel under the glove box.



4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the heater fan motor and apply battery voltage to the motor contacts using additional wires. If the motor does not work, replace the motor.



5. If the engine is running, connect the light bulb to the fan connector with additional wires. Turn on the ignition, turn the fan knob and check for voltage to the connector.





6. To remove the fan, unscrew the screws and lower the heater fan down. On models with 1MZ-FE engines, unscrew the two screws and disconnect the electrical connectors of the wiring harness to facilitate access to the fan.

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
