Checking and adjusting the throttle control cable [Toyota Camry XV10]

1. Press the accelerator pedal all the way down and check that the throttle valve is fully open.

2. If the throttle valve does not open fully, press the accelerator pedal all the way down, loosen the adjusting nuts and adjust the cable so that the mark on the cable protrudes from the boot by 1 mm.

3. Tighten the cable housing mounting nuts and check that the throttle valve opens fully when the accelerator pedal is pressed all the way down.
