Tools needed to change the oil filter
1. Pallet; 2. Rubber gloves; 3. Wrench handle; 4. Nozzle; 5. Special key for unscrewing the oil filter; 6. Nozzle for unscrewing the oil filter
1. Warm up the engine. Remove the oil filler cap.
2. Raise the vehicle and place it on stands.
3. Place a pan under the oil pan drain hole and unscrew the plug with a box wrench. Wait until the oil drains. Wipe off the plug and put it back in place.
4. Install the pan under the oil filter and unscrew the filter by turning it counterclockwise with a special wrench.
5. Wipe the cylinder block and the filter hole.
6. Lubricate the rubber gasket of the new filter with engine oil and screw the filter into place. Tighten the filter by hand until the filter gasket contacts the cylinder block. Then turn the filter an additional 3/4 turn.
7. Fill in new engine oil through the filler neck. Wait for the oil to drain into the sump. Start the engine and check for leaks. Check the oil level. Add oil if necessary.
