Removing
1. Remove the hood.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Raise and secure the front of the vehicle.
4. Remove the engine guards.
5. Drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter.
6. Disconnect the front section of the exhaust pipe from the catalytic converter, bracket and exhaust manifolds.
7. Remove the two bolts and remove the flywheel housing cover.
8. Remove the bolts securing the aluminum sump section to the gearbox.
9. Unscrew the bolts and remove the steel section of the pallet.
10. Remove the oil pickup bolts (arrows) and take it off.
11. Unscrew the bolts of the aluminum section of the pallet.
12. If necessary, remove the dividing wall of the pallet.
Installation
1. Thoroughly clean and wipe the mating surfaces of both sections of the sump and cylinder block with acetone, clean the threads in the block holes. Check if the sump flange is bent, straighten if necessary.
2. Install a partition wall.
3. Apply sealant to the mating surface of the aluminum section.
4. Install the aluminum section and tighten the bolts to the correct torque.
5. Inspect the oil pickup tube for clogged cracks or other damage. Install the nozzle (if you filmed it) and tighten the bolts.
6. Apply sealant to the flange of the steel pan section. Install the section, insert the bolts and tighten them to the required torque.
7. Install the remaining parts, start the engine and check for leaks.
