The intake camshaft has a timing rotor that powers the camshaft position sensor. In connection with the use of the VVT-i system, an oil channel is provided in the intake camshaft, through which engine oil is supplied under pressure, which is necessary for the operation of the VVT-i system. The VVT-i regulator, which provides variable valve timing, is installed on the front of the intake camshaft.
