Note: Rebore all cylinders to the same oversize (for pistons of repair diameter). Install piston rings of the same repair size, corresponding to the repair size of the pistons.
1. Select pistons of repair size.
Repair (0.50) piston diameter:
- 3S-FE - 86.365 - 86.395 mm
- 4S-FE — 82.937-82.967 mm
- ZS-T - 86.378 - 86.408 mm
- Repair (0.75) piston diameter: 4S-FE — 83.187-83.217 mm
2. Calculate the repair size for boring the cylinders.
a) Using a micrometer, measure the piston diameter at a right angle to the piston pin axis at a height of 26.0 mm (3S-FE, 4S-FE), 31 (95 mm (ZS-T) from the piston bottom plane.

b) Calculate the diameter of the cylinder for boring.
The size to which the cylinder needs to be bored = P + C - Fi
- P = piston diameter, mm
- C = clearance between pistons
and a cylinder
- 3S-FE, 4S-FE - 0.125 - 0.145 mm
- ZS-T — 0.112-0.132 mm
H - honing allowance - 0.02 mm or less
3. Bore and hone the cylinder to the required dimensions.
Maximum honing tolerance is 0.02 mm
