Note:
- Malfunctions that occur in the gearbox can be associated either with the engine, or with the control system, or with the gearbox itself. Therefore, before starting the check, it is necessary to determine the area of their occurrence.
- Troubleshooting should start with the simplest operations and continue in order of increasing complexity.
1. Check tire pressure and other preliminary checks.
2. Check the gear change If the shift is normal, then check the electrical part of the control system.
3. Carry out the following checks:
A) Checking the engine and torque converter on a fully braked vehicle.
b) Road tests. Make sure the fault is related to the gearbox itself. If noise or vibration is present, possible sources may be the compressor, engine, cardan shafts, tires, etc.
V) Hydraulic tests. Measure the pressure in the lines and perform a general check of the hydraulic circuits.
G) Checking the transmission time. Checking the wear of gearbox parts (lockup clutches, brakes and planetary gears).
