1. When switching the selector from position "N" to other positions, check that the selector moves evenly and that the indicator indicates the selected position correctly. If the indicator does not show the selected position correctly, then adjust.
2. Loosen the nut on the automatic transmission control rod.
3. Move the start inhibit switch lever as far as it will go as shown in the figure.
4. Return the start inhibit switch lever two notches to the position "N".
5. Set the selector to position "N".
6. Pushing the lever towards the position "R", tighten the control rod nut.
- Tightening torque - 13 Nm
7. Start the engine and make sure that the car moves forward with the selector positions from "N" before "D", and back - at the position "R".

1. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and make sure the throttle is fully open.
2. With the accelerator pedal fully depressed, loosen the adjusting nuts.

3. Adjust the cable so that the distance between the boot and the stopper on the cable is within the nominal range. Nominal distance, at fully closed throttle 0 - 1 mm.
4. Tighten the adjusting nuts and recheck.
Check and adjustment of the switch of prohibition of start of the engine
1. Make sure that the engine can only be started when the selector is in the "N" or R".
2. If the engine can be started in other positions, adjust the start inhibit switch.
A) Loosen the bolts of the start switch in neutral position and set the selector to the position "N".
b) Align the groove and the neutral base line.
V) Holding the parts in this position. tighten the bolts.
- Tightening torque - 5.4 Nm
Checking the idle speed (range N)
Check idle speed.

- ZS-T - 750 - 850 rpm
- 3S-FE, 4S-FE - 700 - 750 rpm
