To control the position of the outside rear-view mirror, two electric motors are used in each mirror.
The electrically adjustable outside rear-view mirror can only be adjusted after the ignition is switched on.
To check if the engine is working, turn on the switch and listen for the sound of the engine running.
If the motor runs but the mirror does not move, there is probably a drive defect inside the mirror.
If the mirror does not move and the engine does not run, check the fuse in the fuse box located on the left side under the instrument panel.
If the fuse is good, remove the instrument cluster trim to access the rear of the mirror switch. Without disconnecting the electrical connector from the switch, turn on the ignition and check the voltage at the switch. Voltage must be present on one pin of the connector. If there is no voltage, check the electrical circuit between the fuse box and the switch.
If voltage is applied to the switch, disconnect the electrical connector from it and check the operation of the switch (see fig. Removal of the switch of adjustment of provision of an external mirror, fig. Using a digital ohmmeter to check the condition of the mirror switch contacts, fig. Mirror adjustment switch and contact status at various switch positions).
