Warning! If your radio has an anti-theft code, check that you have the connection codes before disconnecting the battery.
Caution! On models from 1993 onwards, the air bag system is disabled if the battery is disconnected for an extended period of time. If the air bag warning light comes on and remains on after the battery is reconnected, contact a specialist workshop to have the system restored to working order.
1. Disconnect the negative and then positive terminals from the battery.
2. Unscrew the nuts and remove the battery mounting clamp.
3. Remove the battery and inspect the condition of the battery mounting plate.
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
