The distributor type contactless ignition system consists of an ignition switch, battery, ignition module, sensor, coil, wires, distributor, and spark plugs. The ignition system is controlled by the ECM. The ECM uses inputs from various sensors to calculate the desired ignition timing and the energy storage time of the ignition coil.

The distributorless ignition system includes a camshaft position sensor, a crankshaft angle sensor, 6 ignition coils and an ignition unit.
When working with the ignition system, follow these requirements:
- do not turn on the ignition for more than 10 seconds when the engine is not running;
- do not connect the ignition coil terminals to ground, as this may cause damage to the ignition control unit or ignition coil;
- do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running;
- always check that the ignition control unit is securely connected to ground.
