Four-cylinder engine suspension components

Warning! If your radio has an anti-theft code, check that you have the connection codes before disconnecting the battery.
Caution! On models from 1993 onwards, the airbag system is disabled if the battery is disconnected for an extended period of time. If the airbag warning light comes on and remains on after the battery is reconnected, contact a specialist workshop to restore the system to working order.
1. Remove the ground cable from the battery. Using a lifting device, support the engine.
2. To remove the right powertrain mount, unscrew the nut and remove the tie bolt from the mount.
3. Unscrew the nuts securing the powertrain suspension to the bracket and remove the suspension.
4. To remove the rear suspension of the power unit, remove the rubber plugs from the body to access the three suspension mounting nuts.
5. To remove the front suspension of the power unit, unscrew the nut that secures the elastic element to the engine support bracket. Then unscrew the three nuts that secure the suspension to the car body and remove the suspension.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
