Suspension elements of a four-cylinder engine

Replacement
Attention! If your radio has an anti-theft code, check that you have the pairing codes before disconnecting the battery.
Attention! On models since 1993, the airbag system is disabled if the battery is disconnected for an extended period. If the airbag warning light comes on and stays on after reconnecting the battery, take it to a specialist workshop to restore the system to normal.
1. Remove the ground wire from the battery. Support the engine using a hoist.
2. To remove the right suspension of the power unit, unscrew the nut and remove the pinch bolt from the suspension.
3. Unscrew nuts of fastening of a suspension bracket of the power unit to an arm and remove a suspension bracket.
4. To remove the rear suspension of the power unit, remove the rubber plugs from the body to access the three suspension mounting nuts.
5. To remove the front suspension of the power unit, unscrew the nut that secures the elastic element to the engine support bracket. Then unscrew the three nuts securing the suspension to the car body and remove the suspension.
6. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
