Removing
1. Raise the rear of the car and secure it on stands.
2. Remove the brake drum.
3. Using a clamp, pinch the brake hose at the point closest to the working brake cylinder.
4. Remove any dirt around the junction of the brake hose and the rear of the working brake cylinder. Unscrew the union nut. Being careful, take a brake pipe from the working brake cylinder and close it with a stopper.
5. Unscrew two bolts of fastening of the working brake cylinder to a brake board. Being careful, remove the working brake cylinder.
Repair
1. Clean dust and dirt from the working brake cylinder.
2. Remove dust covers from each end of the working brake cylinder.
3. Remove both pistons with o-rings from the brake cylinder.
4. Check the condition of the pistons and the brake cylinder for wear, corrosion and other defects.
5. Install the O-rings on the piston, lubricate them with clean brake fluid and install the pistons in the brake cylinder.
6. Install dust caps.
Installation
1. Wipe the brake shield, install the brake pipe on the brake cylinder and tighten the union nut two turns.
2. Screw in bolts of fastening of the working brake cylinder. Finally tighten the brake line nut.
3. Remove the clamp from the brake hose.
4. Install the brake drum.
5. Remove air from the brake system.
