Attention! Always replace all pads on one axle of the vehicle, even if only one pad has reached the wear limit. If the pads are to be reinstalled, they must be marked before removal.
Warning! When brake pads are in operation, brake dust is generated, which contains asbestos, which is harmful to health. Therefore, when cleaning brake pads, do not use compressed air and do not inhale the dust.
1. Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands. Remove the front wheels.
2. Using a G-clamp, press the piston into the caliper cylinder. When the piston is pushed in, the brake fluid is forced out of the brake cylinder and into the expansion tank. Therefore, constantly monitor the fluid level in the tank, and if necessary, pump out a small amount of it from the tank.
3. Clean the brake disc using a special fluid.

4. To remove the caliper, unscrew the bolts shown by the outer arrows. Unscrew the middle bolt only if the caliper is being removed completely.
5. Remove the caliper from the caliper holder.
6. Without disconnecting the brake hose from the caliper, hang the caliper with soft wire to the front suspension strut.

7. Remove the upper anti-bounce spring.
8. Remove the lower anti-rattle spring (1994 and 1995 models).
9. Remove the outer brake shoe lining.

10. Remove the inner lining of the outer brake shoe.
11. Remove the outer brake shoe.
12. Remove the outer lining of the inner brake shoe.

13. Remove the inner brake shoe liner.
14. Remove the inner brake shoe.
15. Remove the 4 brake shoe backing plates, inspect their condition and reinstall them.

16. Remove the brake pad wear sensor from the old brake pad and install it on the new brake pad.
17. Install the inner brake shoe and the outer and inner brake shoe linings.
18. Install the outer brake shoe and the inner and outer brake shoe lining.

19. Install the upper and lower anti-bounce springs.
20. Remove the upper and lower guide pins from the caliper holder and inspect their condition.
21. Apply a coat of high temperature grease to the guide pins and install them into the caliper holder.

22. Reinstall the caliper and secure with bolts.
