Attention! Remove the key from the ignition lock only after the vehicle has come to a complete stop! Otherwise, the steering lock may engage while driving.
START - start the engine with a starter. When released, the key automatically returns to the position «ON».
ON - ignition and all current consumers are on. This is the normal mode when the vehicle is moving.
ACC - Current consumers such as radios are connected, but the engine is off.
LOCK - ignition and current consumers are off. The key can only be removed in this position.
To set the key in the ignition lock from the ACC position to the LOCK position, press the key and turn it in this position of the key.
To lock the steering, turn the steering wheel with the ignition key removed until the steering lock pin locks into place audibly.
Before each new attempt to start the engine, the ignition key must be returned to the «LOCK». The starter lockout device, located in the ignition switch, prevents the starter from being turned on when the engine crankshaft is rotating and thereby protects the starter from damage.
