Attention! While driving, the driver's right hand should not be constantly on the gear lever handle; the force from the weight of the hand is transferred to the shift forks, which can lead to accelerated wear of the forks.

Reverse gear should only be engaged when the vehicle is at a complete stop. With the engine running, fully depress the clutch pedal for a few moments to avoid noise when shifting into gear.
When the reverse gear is engaged and the ignition is on, the reverse lights come on.
