Fuel gauge
The pointer works when the ignition is on.
It is desirable that in any case, at least a quarter of the tank of fuel remains in the fuel tank.
If the pointer has reached the fuel reserve zone E, you need to fill up the car as soon as possible.
Coolant temperature gauge
Attention! To avoid burns at high coolant temperatures, you should consider the following:
- be careful when opening the cap of the expansion tank of the cooling system. When the engine is hot, there is increased pressure in the cooling system. Therefore, before unscrewing the cap of the expansion tank, allow the engine to cool;
- to protect your face and hands from steam and hot coolant, cover the radiator cap with a sufficiently large piece of dense cleaning material.
If the coolant level is normal, the malfunction of the cooling system may be caused by a malfunction of the fan. In order to use the flow of oncoming air to cool the liquid, idling of the engine and movement at very low speed should be avoided.
Tachometer
In no case should the tachometer needle enter the red zone of the scale.
The beginning of the red zone on the scale depends on the specific engine.
Upshifting early saves fuel and reduces engine and transmission noise.
Switch to a lower gear as late as possible, shortly before the moment when jerks appear in the engine.
Distance meter and daily counter
The upper counter shows the total mileage of the car, the lower one shows the mileage since a certain moment (trip meter). The last digit of the lower counter indicates 100-meter segments. Zeroing the lower counter is carried out by pressing the button under the speedometer.
