Fuel gauge

The indicator works when the ignition is on.

It is desirable that in any case there is at least a quarter of a tank of fuel left in the fuel tank.

If the indicator has reached the reserve fuel zone E, you must refuel the vehicle as soon as possible.

Coolant temperature gauge

Caution! To avoid burns due to high coolant temperatures, you should consider the following:

  • be careful when opening the expansion tank cap of the cooling system. When the engine is hot, the cooling system has increased pressure. Therefore, before unscrewing the expansion tank cap, let the engine cool down;
  • to protect your face and hands from steam and hot coolant, cover the radiator cap with a large enough piece of thick cloth.

If the coolant level is normal, the cooling system malfunction may be caused by a faulty fan. In order to use the oncoming air flow to cool the liquid, idling the engine and driving at very low speeds should be avoided.

Tachometer

The tachometer needle should under no circumstances enter the red zone of the scale.

The start of the red zone on the scale depends on the specific engine.

Upshifting early saves fuel and reduces engine and transmission noise.

You should shift to a lower gear as late as possible, shortly before the moment when the engine starts to jerk.

Trip meter and daily counter

The upper counter shows the total mileage of the car, the lower one shows the mileage from a certain point (trip meter). The last digit of the lower counter indicates 100-meter segments. The lower counter is reset to zero by pressing the button under the speedometer.
