Examination
Warning! Disable the airbag.
1. There are 2 switches on the column. The left one is the turn signal/headlight switch, and the right one is the windshield wiper/washer switch.
2. Locate the steering column switch combination connectors by following the wires and disconnect them from the main harnesses.
3. Use an ohmmeter or test lamp to check for continuity between the specified terminals in different switch positions. Replace the switch if the results of at least one of the tests are negative.

Replacement
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Remove the steering wheel.
3. Remove both steering column covers.
4. Disconnect the steering column switch connectors.

5. Loosen the mounting screws (indicated by arrows) and remove the switch combination.
6. Remove the desired switch and replace it. To do this, unscrew the screws or remove the latches.
7. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
