Examination
Attention! Deactivate the airbag.
1. The speaker has 2 switches. The turn signal/headlight switch is on the left, and the wiper/washer switch is mounted on the right.
2. Locate, by tracing the wires, the steering column switch combination connectors and disconnect them from the main harnesses.
3. Using an ohmmeter or a test lamp, check the presence of a circuit between the indicated terminals, in different positions of the switch. Replace the switch if at least one of the tests fails.
Replacement
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Remove the steering wheel.
3. Remove both steering column covers.
4. Disconnect the steering column switch connectors.
5. Loosen the fixing screws (indicated by arrows) and remove the switch combination.
6. Remove desired switch and replace. To do this, unscrew the screws or remove the latches.
7. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
