Pic. 3.4. Draining the hydraulic clutch fluid
Attention! Do not allow working fluid to come into contact with painted surfaces. If the working fluid comes into contact with the painted surface, wash it off immediately. Do not mix different types of working fluid. Do not reuse drained fluid. Make sure the clutch fluid level is correct.
Remove the cover.
Remove the cap from the clutch release cylinder bleeder plug and connect one end of the vinyl tube.
Place the other end of the tube in a clear container.
- A) Slowly press the clutch pedal several times.
- b) With the clutch pedal depressed, loosen the bleeder screw and allow the working fluid to drain.
Using the special tool, tighten the bleed screw.
Repeat the operations described in paragraphs a) and b) until no more air bubbles appear in the outgoing working fluid.
Tighten the bleeder valve with a tightening torque of 6–9 Nm.
Install the fender.
Bring the fluid level up to the mark «MAX».
Make sure the clutch is working properly.
