Examination
1. Disconnect the distributor electrical connector.
2. Using an ohmmeter, check the resistance between the pulse sensor contacts.
3. If the resistance differs from the required values, replace the ignition distributor.
Checking the pulse sensor gap
1. Remove the ground cable from the battery.
2. Remove the ignition distributor from the engine.

3. Using a feeler gauge blade, check the gap between the rotor and the pulse sensor. If the gap is greater than the permissible value, replace the ignition distributor, as the gap is not adjustable.
