Removal



1. Remove the ground cable from the battery.

2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition distributor.

3. On the distributor cap, mark the position of the high-voltage wire of the first cylinder.

4. Remove the distributor cap and turn the engine crankshaft so that the distributor rotor is directed towards the high-voltage wire terminal of the first cylinder.



5. On the distributor housing, apply a mark located opposite the contact part of the distributor rotor.



6. Also note the position of the distributor housing in relation to the cylinder block.



7. Unscrew the bolts and remove the ignition distributor.



Installation




1. Rotate the distributor rotor so that the timing mark on the rear of the rotor aligns with the pointer on the distributor housing.

2. Install the ignition distributor on the engine in accordance with the previously applied marks.

3. Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Check the ignition timing.
