2. Remove the ground cable from the battery.
Warning: If your radio has an anti-theft code, make sure you have the connection codes before disconnecting the battery.
Caution! On models from 1993 onwards, the airbag system is disabled if the battery is disconnected for an extended period of time. If the airbag warning light comes on and remains on after the battery is reconnected, contact a specialist workshop to restore the system to working order.
3. Remove the rear seat.
4. To access the fuel tank, unscrew the screws and remove the protective cover.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector and fuel lines.
6. Unscrew the fuel pump cover mounting bolts.
7. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.

8. Remove the lower portion of the fuel pump from the mount.
9. Remove the rubber gasket from the bottom of the fuel pump.
10. Remove the bracket securing the fuel pickup to the fuel pump.
11. Remove the fuel intake and check its condition.
12. If replacing the fuel pump, loosen the clamp and remove the pressure hose from the fuel pump.
13. Disconnect the wires from the fuel pump and remove the pump.
14. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
