Removal
1. Remove the ground cable from the battery.
Warning: If your radio has an anti-theft code, make sure you have the connection codes before disconnecting the battery.
Caution! On models from 1993 onwards, the airbag system is disabled if the battery is disconnected for an extended period of time. If the airbag warning light comes on and remains on after the battery is reconnected, contact a specialist workshop to restore the system to working order.

2. Unscrew the lock nut securing the accelerator cable housing to the throttle body.

3. Turn the throttle control lever and remove the accelerator cable from the slot in the lever.

4. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal.
5. Remove the accelerator cable into the vehicle interior.
Installation and adjustment
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2. Press the accelerator pedal all the way down and check that the throttle valve is fully open.
3. If the throttle valve does not open fully when the accelerator pedal is fully depressed, loosen the lock nut and move the accelerator cable housing to a position where the throttle valve is fully open.
4. Tighten the accelerator cable housing lock nut and recheck the adjustment.
