Location of the 16-pin diagnostic connector

Access to the system is provided by connecting special scanners (OBD-II SCAN TOOL) to the 16-pin diagnostic connector (arrow), which is mounted under the instrument panel on the driver's side.
The system includes an on-board computer (Powertrain Control Module) and peripheral sensors that monitor engine status (oxygen sensors, crankshaft rotation, temperature, etc.). To read diagnostic trouble codes in this system and identify them, special expensive scanners are required, so it is advisable to perform all types of work on diagnostics, repair and adjustment of the system in the dealer's car service. This section discusses the procedure for checking and replacing some units of the toxicity reduction system, which can be done independently.
