Location of the solenoid valve connector (4-cylinder engines)

On 4-cylinder engines, the solenoid connector is located at the front of the transmission, just above the ignition interlock switch.
Location of the solenoid valve connector (6-cylinder engines)

On 6-cylinder engines, the solenoid valve connector is located opposite the ignition interlock switch.

Checking the electromagnetic valves
1. Solenoid valves N1 and N₂; 2. Compressed air; 3. Battery
1. To test the solenoids, apply battery voltage to the contacts of each valve.
2. If the valves are working properly, you should hear a click.
3. Direct a stream of compressed air into each of the valves, approximately 65 psi. The valves should not leak air.
4. Apply battery voltage to the terminals again and check that the valve opens.
Error codes
The electronic control system is equipped with an automatic fault finding function. The fault code is stored in the system memory and then displayed on the engine status indicator panel.
