Caution! Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with painted surfaces. If brake fluid does come into contact with a painted surface, wash it off immediately.
Drain the brake fluid.
Note: For models with 1MZ-FE engine - before starting work it is necessary to remove the air cleaner assembly.
Disconnect the brake fluid level indicator lamp sensor connector.

Using special tool 09023-00100, disconnect the brake pipes from the master cylinder by unscrewing the 6 connecting nuts (Fig. 6.24).

Unscrew the two mounting nuts, remove the fitting, the master brake cylinder and the gasket (Fig. 6.25).
Remove the cap and strainer from the master cylinder reservoir.
Unscrew the fastening screw and remove the tank.
Remove the two sealing rings.
Place the cylinder in a vice.
