Lever drive
1. To gain access to the regulator, remove the center trim section.
2. Loosen locknut (top nut), while holding the adjustment (lower) nut. Tighten the adjusting nut until you get the desired brake lever travel. Tighten locknut.
3. Check the parking brake lever travel and reinstall the removed section.
Pedal drive
Slowly pressing the pedal, determine the number of clicks before full braking, which should be equal to 3-6. Adjustment is necessary if the brake stroke is less than 3 clicks (rear wheels can be hard to turn) or more than 6 (the car brakes unreliably on slopes).
