Engine balancing device
1. Shaft N1; 2. Lower part of the shaft casing; 3. Shaft N₂; 4. Shaft bearing liners; 5. Upper part of the casing
The balancing device consists of two shafts enclosed in an aluminum casing. The shafts are connected to each other by means of a gear transmission, one of them is connected by means of a gear transmission to the crankshaft.

1. Align the recesses in the shafts with the slots in the shaft casing (2), then turn shaft N₂ (1) so that mark D aligns with the slot in the casing.

2. Lock shaft N₂, install a measuring device and measure the free travel of the first shaft gear. Compare the obtained readings with the technical specifications.
3. Turn shaft N₂ and align mark E with the slot in the casing, repeat the measurements.
4. Turn shaft N₂ and align mark F with the slot in the casing, take measurements again.
5. If necessary, consult a specialist.
