Hold the sprocket in such a position that the groove in it is slightly to the left of the camshaft locating pin (viewed from the side of the shaft) (pic. 2.145).
Install the sprocket onto the camshaft. Lightly press the sprocket and turn it counterclockwise. Make sure there is no visible gap between the sprocket and the end of the camshaft.
Note. Do not rotate the sprocket clockwise.

While holding the shaft with a wrench, tighten the mounting bolt to a torque of 54 Nm (pic. 2.146).
Make sure the VVT actuator moves clockwise and locks the lock pin in the correct position. Temporarily tighten the mounting bolt. While holding the shaft with a wrench, tighten the mounting bolt.
