Pic. 2.149. Installing the oil pump drive shaft
To install the oil pump drive chain and sprocket, install the crankshaft with the key to the left, and the oil pump shaft with the notch up, as shown in the figure (pic. 2.149).
Pic. 2.150. Correct installation of the chain on the sprockets
Install the chain onto the sprockets by lining up the links with the colored marks and the marks on the sprockets (pic. 2.150).
Pic. 2.151. Installing the oil pump drive chain tensioner
Install the sprockets on the shafts and temporarily tighten the fastening nut. Install the oil pump drive chain tensioner by inserting the tensioner spring into the hole (pic. 2.151).
Tighten the tensioner fastening nut with a tightening torque of 12 Nm.
Pic. 2.152. Alignment of the oil pump drive shaft hole with the pump groove
Align the hole in the oil pump drive shaft with the groove of the pump, as shown in Figure 2.152.
Insert a pin with a diameter of 4 mm into the hole in the shaft and, fixing it, tighten the nut with a tightening torque of 30 Nm.
Pic. 2.153. Correct orientation of the oil pump drive shaft key
Rotate the crankshaft 90°clockwise with the shaft key oriented vertically up (pic. 2.153).
Install the crankshaft sprocket.
