Examination

1. (Models before 1996, models since 1996 (ZS-T)).

Check the conductivity of the relay windings.

a) Check for conductivity between terminals "5" and "6" of connector A.

b) Check for conductivity between terminals "4" (positive probe of ohmmeter) and "6" (negative probe of ohmmeter) connector A and no conductivity - when the ohmmeter probes are connected in reverse.

Note: Observe the correct polarity when connecting the ohmmeter probes.

c) Check for conductivity between terminals "4" (positive probe of ohmmeter) and "5" (negative probe of ohmmeter) connector A and no conductivity - when the ohmmeter probes are connected in reverse.

g) (ZS-T)

Check for conductivity between terminals "2" and "5" of connector A. D) (ZS-T)

Check for continuity between terminals "1" of connector A and "3" of connector B.

e) (ZS-T)

Check for continuity between terminals "1" and "2" of connector B.

g) (ZS-T)

Check for continuity between terminals "3" and "4" of connector B.

If the conditions are not met, replace the relay.

2. (Models before 1996.)

Check the operation of the solenoid valve relay.

a) Apply battery voltage to terminal "1" of connector A and terminal "3" of connector B.

b) Make sure there is conductivity between terminals "2" and "5" of connector A, and there is no conductivity between terminals "5" and "6" of connector A.

3. (Models since 1996. (4S-FE, 3S-FE)) Check the operation of the solenoid valve relay.

a) Check for continuity between terminals "1" and "3" of the relay connector.

b) Make sure there is conductivity between terminals "2" and "3" of the relay connector.

c) Make sure there is conductivity between terminals "4" and "b" of the relay connector.

d) Check for conductivity between terminals "5" (positive probe of ohmmeter) and "3" (negative probe of ohmmeter) relay connector and no conductivity - when the ohmmeter probes are connected in reverse.

d) Apply voltage to terminals "4" and "6" of the relay connector and make sure there is conductivity between terminals "1" and "3" and no conductivity between terminals "2" and "3".

3. (Models before 1996.)

Check the operation of the electric pump relay.

a) Apply battery voltage to terminals "3" and "4" of connector B.

b) Make sure there is conductivity between terminals "1" and "2" of connector B.

4. (Models since 1996. (4S-FE, 3S-FE)) Check the operation of the electric pump relay.

a) Check for continuity between terminals "1" and "2" of the relay connector.

b) Check for conductivity between terminals "3" and "4" of the relay connector.

c) Apply battery voltage to terminals "3" and "4" and check for conductivity between terminals "1" and "2".
