Removal



Note: Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. After installation, check the operation of the speed sensors (ABS).


1. Jack up the car, remove the rear wheel.
  • Tightening torque - 105 Nm

2. Loosen the bolt and remove the brake hose clamp from the strut.
  • Tightening torque - 30 Nm

3. Remove the caliper and brake disc.

a) Unscrew the two bolts securing the caliper bracket.
  • Tightening torque - 47.5 Nm



b) Hang the support on the wire.

c) Remove the brake disc.

4. Check the bearing axial clearance and hub runout.

a) Using a dial indicator, check the bearing axial clearance.
  • Maximum gap - 0.05 mm

If the clearance is not within the norm, replace the bearing.





Rear wheel hub (2WD models)
1 - support,
2 - brake drum,
3 - brake disc,
4 - rear wheel hub,
5 - hub bolt,
6 - O-ring seal.


b) Using an indicator, check the hub runout.


  • Maximum runout - 0.07 mm

If the runout is not within the norm, replace the hub and bearing.

5. Remove the rear wheel hub.

a) Unscrew the four bolts and remove the rear wheel hub.
  • Tightening torque - 82 Nm



b) Remove the O-ring.

Installation Note: Apply grease to the O-ring.
