Removal



Note: Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. After installation, check the operation of the speed sensors (ABS) and the rear wheel alignment angles.


1. Remove the hub (see the relevant section).

2. (For models with drum brakes)

Disconnect the brake pipe.
  • Tightening torque - 15.5 Nm



3. Unscrew the bolt and remove the speed sensor (ABS) from the cam
  • Tightening torque - 8 Nm

4. Loosen the two nuts on the bottom of the strut.

Note: Do not remove the bolts.

  • Tightening torque - 260 Nm



5 Loosen the trailing arm mounting bolt.

Installation note: tighten after the suspension has stabilized.

  • Tightening torque - 115 Nm



6. Loosen the nut, remove the bolt and disconnect the lower arms from the knuckle.



Installation note: tighten after the suspension has stabilized.

  • Tightening torque - 185 Nm





Removing the rear wheel knuckle (2WS models).
1 - rear wheel knuckle,
2 - washer,
3 - caliper assembly,
4 - brake disc,
5 - brake drum,
6, 9 - brake shield,
7 - rear wheel hub,
8, 11 - ring seal,
10 - speed sensor (ABS).


7. Remove the rear wheel knuckle.

a) Remove the bolts from the bottom of the rack.

b) Remove the rear wheel knuckle.

Note: Do not damage the dust cover, oil seal and rotor of the speed sensor (ABS).
