Removal
Note: Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
1. Place the crowbar as shown in the figure, check that there is no gap in the ball joint of the steering knuckle arm.

2. Disconnect the tie rod end.
a) Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the nut.
- Tightening torque - 60 Nm
b) Using the special tool, disconnect the tie rod end from the steering knuckle arm.

3. Disconnect the lower arm.
a) Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the nut.
- Tightening torque - 93 Nm
b) Using a special tool, disconnect the lower arm from the steering knuckle arm.

Steering knuckle arm (4WS models).
1 - steering rod end,
2 - cotter pin,
3 - lower arm,
4 - steering knuckle lever.
4. Loosen the two bolts securing the steering knuckle arm to the steering knuckle and remove it.
- Tightening torque - 115 Nm

Examination
Check the rotation moment of the ball joint of the steering knuckle arm.
a) Before installing the nut, rock the ball joint axle from side to side several times.
b) Using a torque wrench, rotate the nut continuously (one revolution in 2-4 seconds) and take a reading on the fifth revolution.
- Scrolling moment - 1.0 - 3.0 Nm
