Note: disassembly and assembly of the distributor for models without TRC follow the assembly drawing.
Disassembly
1. Turn away screws of fastening and remove a cover of the distributor.
2. Remove the rotor.
3. Remove the ignition coil boot and gasket.
4. Remove the distributor wire.
A) Remove the two nuts and disconnect the three wires from the ignition coil leads.
b) Remove the wiring connector from the distributor cap.
5. Remove the ignition coil by unscrewing the four screws.
6. Turn away the fastening screw and remove the condenser.
Examination
Turn the distributor shaft by turning it by hand and make sure that the shaft rotates smoothly, without gaps and jamming.
If there is a feeling of wear or seizing, replace the distributor housing.
Assembly
1. Install the capacitor by tightening the screw.
2. Install the ignition coil.
A) Remove the remnants of the old sealant and apply a new sealant to the mating surface of the coil on the distributor housing.
V) Secure the ignition coil with four screws.
3. Install distributor wiring.
A) Lay the rubber spacer in the distributor housing.
b) Connect three wires to the ignition coil terminals and secure them with two nuts.
Note:
- When connecting the wires to the ignition coil, fully insert the wire ends into the slots on the coil.
- Make sure the wires are not in contact with the sensor rotors or the distributor housing.
4. Install a new gasket on the distributor housing and boot.
5. Install the rotor.
6. Install cover and high voltage wires. Secure the covers with three screws.
Installation
1. Bring the piston of the 1st cylinder to TDC. By turning the motor shaft clockwise, align the mark "0" on the crankshaft pulley with a benchmark. The slot in the end of the camshaft should be located as shown in the figure.
2. Install distributors.
A) Put a new O-ring on the distributor housing.
b) Lightly coat the O-ring with engine oil.
V) Align the notch in the drive coupling with the protrusion in the housing.
G) Install the distributor on the engine, aligning the center of the hole in the mounting flange with the bolt in the block head.
d) Lightly tighten the two mounting bolts.
3. Connect the high voltage wires to the spark plugs and secure the wires with clips on the valve cover.
- The order of operation of the engine is 1-3-4-2
4. Connect the distributor connector.
5. Adjust the ignition timing.
- Ignition timing at idle - 10°to TDC (with a jumper installed on the outputs "TE1" And "E1").
