Note: For models without TRC, disassemble and assemble the distributor in accordance with the assembly drawing.
Disassembly
1. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the distributor cover.

2. Remove the rotor.

3. Remove the ignition coil boot and gasket.
4. Remove the distributor wire.
a) Unscrew the two nuts and disconnect the three wires from the ignition coil terminals.

b) Remove the wiring connector from the distributor cap.

5. Remove the ignition coil by unscrewing the four screws.

6. Loosen the mounting screw and remove the capacitor.

Examination
Turn the distributor shaft by hand and make sure that the shaft rotates smoothly, without gaps or jamming.
If there is a feeling of wear or sticking, replace the distributor housing.

Assembly
1. Install the capacitor by tightening the screw.
2. Install the ignition coil.
a) Remove any remaining old sealant and apply new sealant to the mating surface of the coil on the distributor housing.

c) Secure the ignition coil with four screws.
3. Install the distributor wires.
a) Place the rubber spacer into the distributor housing.
b) Connect three wires to the ignition coil terminals and secure them with two nuts.
Note:
- When connecting the wires to the ignition coil, insert the wire tips completely into the slots on the coil.
- Make sure that there is no contact between the wires and the sensor rotors or the distributor housing.

4. Install a new gasket on the distributor housing and boot.

5. Install the rotor.
6. Install the cover and high-voltage wires. Secure the covers with three screws.
Installation
1. Bring the piston of the 1st cylinder to TDC. Turning the engine shaft clockwise, align the "0" mark on the crankshaft pulley with the reference mark. The slot in the end of the camshaft should be positioned as shown in the figure.

2. Install the distributors.
a) Place a new O-ring on the distributor housing.

b) Lightly lubricate the O-ring with engine oil.
c) Align the recess in the drive coupling with the protrusion in the housing.
d) Install the distributor on the engine, aligning the center of the hole in the mounting flange with the bolt in the cylinder head.

d) Lightly tighten the two mounting bolts.

3. Connect the high-tension wires to the spark plugs and secure the wires with clamps on the valve cover.
- Engine firing order is 1-3-4-2
4. Connect the distributor connector.

5. Adjust the ignition timing.
- The ignition advance angle at idle speed is 10° before TDC (with a jumper installed on terminals "TE1" and "E1").
