Mounting a Generator on a V6 Engine
1. Washer; 2. Wire; 3. Connector; 4. Adjusting bolt; 5. Generator; 6. Belt; 7. Lock bolt; 8. Axle bolt
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Disconnect the wires from the generator.

3. Loosen the generator pivot (A), lock (B) and adjusting (C) bolts and remove the belt.
4. Remove the adjusting and axial bolts and remove the generator.
5. If you decide to replace the generator, you should keep in mind that the new generator must exactly match the one being replaced. When purchasing, make sure that the number on the housing of the new unit matches the number of the one being replaced, and that the location of the terminals on both units matches.
Installation
The generator is installed in reverse order.
