Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the wires from the oxygen sensor. If you are installing a new manifold, remove the sensor.
3. Unscrew the bolts (arrows) and remove the upper heat-insulating shield of the manifold.
4. Lubricate the manifold bolts with penetrating oil.
5. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the manifold.
6. Remove the manifold bracket bolt (arrow) located near the front engine mount. Remove the manifold bracket and lower heat shield.
7. Unscrew the bolts (arrows), remove the manifold and gasket.
Installation
1. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the manifold and cylinder head. If you find that the manifold gasket has leaked, check if the manifold is deformed, if necessary, contact a specialist.
2. Install a new gasket.
3. Install the manifold and screw in the bolts.
4. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
5. Install the remaining parts, start the engine and check the exhaust system for leaks.
