Examination
The time relay is located next to the coolant temperature sensor.
1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the cold start injector timer relay and, using an ohmmeter, check the resistance between the corresponding relay contacts.
At engine temperature below 15°C, the resistance of the time relay winding should be 25–45 Ohms.
At engine temperature above 30°C, the resistance of the time relay winding should be within 65–85 Ohms.
2. Check the resistance between the FTA terminal and ground. It should be 25–85 Ohms.
Replacement
1. Drain the coolant from the radiator.

2. Using a wrench and extension, unscrew the time relay from the engine.
3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
