1. Before installing new piston rings, check the clearance in the piston ring lock.
2. Position the pistons and piston rings according to the cylinders in which they will work.
3. Install the top o-ring into the first cylinder and push it into the cylinder with the piston crown to the bottom of the cylinder.
4. Using a feeler gauge, measure the gap in the ring lock.
5. Repeat the measurement process with the ring installed on top of the cylinder and compare the measurement results with the specifications.
6. Repeat the test operation for each ring in the first cylinder, then for the rings in the remaining cylinders.
7. Install the piston rings on the pistons in the same way as when removing.
8. First of all, the oil scraper ring is installed, which consists of three separate elements. Install the oil scraper ring expander into the piston groove.
9. Then sequentially install the upper and lower oil scraper rings.
10. Install compression ring #2 with the mark on the end of the ring facing up. Do not confuse the first and second compression rings, as they have a different profile.
11. After installing the piston rings on the piston, check the ease of movement of the piston ring in the piston groove.
