Power Steering Pump (3C-T) [Toyota Camry Vista-V40]

Removal



1. Drain the power steering fluid.

2. Remove the clamps and disconnect the return line.



3. Remove the drive belt.

a) Loosen the tensioner roller lock nut
  • Tightening torque - 39 Nm

b) Turn the adjusting bolt to loosen the belt tension and remove the belt.

When installing, adjust the drive belt tension before tightening the tensioner roller lock nut (see the relevant section).



4. Using a special tool, remove the pump pulley.
  • Tightening torque - 44 Nm





Removing the power steering pump (ZS-T).
1 - pulley,
2, 5 - power steering system pipelines,
3, 4 - gasket,
6 - return pipeline,
7 - tensioner roller,
8 - casing,
9 - pump assembly.


5. Loosen the union bolts and disconnect the power steering system pipes.


  • Tightening torque - 52 Nm



6. Unscrew the four bolts and remove the pump assembly.

Tightening torque:
  • Bolts "A" - 40 Nm
  • Bolt "B" - 73 Nm



Installation



1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. When installing, use the assembly drawing

2. Top up the power steering fluid.

3. Bleed the power steering system.

4. Check for leaks in the system.
