Removing
1. Drain the power steering fluid.
2. Remove the right front drive shaft (see chapter "Drive shafts").
3. Disconnect the return hose from the reservoir.
Note: Avoid getting fluid on the drive belt.
4. Using the special tool, disconnect the pressure line.
- Tightening torque - 45 Nm
Note: when connecting the discharge pipe, tighten its fitting so that no threads protrude.
5. Disconnect the vacuum hoses.
6. (WD Models)
Loosen the two screws and remove the protective cover.
- Tightening torque - 25 Nm
Removing the power steering pump (3S-FE, 4S-FE).

18 - idle speed increase valve,
21 - spring seat,

Note: when assembling, apply to the parts indicated by the arrows:
- white arrow - grease,
- black arrow - power steering fluid.
7. Turn away bolts of fastening and remove the pump of the amplifier in gathering with delivery and returnable pipelines.
When installing the pump, before tightening the second mounting bolt, adjust the tension of the booster pump drive belt (see relevant section).
- Tightening torque - 40 Nm
8. Place the pump in a vise and disconnect the return and discharge lines.
- Tightening torque of the nipple bolt - 52 Nm
Installation
1. Installation is made in the reverse order of removal. When installing, follow the assembly drawing.
2. Top up the power steering fluid.
3. Bleed the power steering system.
4. Check for leaks in the system.
